Late General Sani Abacha will be Child’s Play by the time Buhari Leaves Office by Omoruyi Uwuigiaren

"It is a tragedy to remain in a world you cannot control and all the more tragic if you do not have control over your own life.

People who have surrendered leadership of their lives to others are always at the mercy of those they serve."

General Sani Abacha was just a petty thief who could not cover his tracks. He left a trail of waste, he punished nearly everyone that opposed him and stole at the full glare of the public. He was not a good thief! No criminal will ever want to be caught.

As you know, criminals do not set themselves up to be caught. They operate miles away from public view. The street corners, behind great walls, protected offices, no thief wants to be seen except if he is a fool. That is a topic for another day. No matter how close a criminal is, you will hardly tell his intention.

These people have mastered the art of deception and they use it tremendously to stay in the game and keep the public away from what they are doing. They know that to be caught is death and to live they remain in the underworld where they are completely free to maneuver. Even the government cannot access their vault.

Abacha was a great army general but he was too petty for a thief! He was in power, everything was under his control and he was intoxicated. He lost his way. I do not know why the Abacha loot keeps pouring in. Is this a distraction or someone behind the scene is trying to punish the general for his misdeeds while he was alive.

GEN SANI ABACHA
Abacha is a scapegoat, no doubt. He must have stepped on many toes while he was alive and the people have vowed to ruin him and his family. It is strange that the Nigerian “big men” will come hard on their fellow “big man”. Abacha is not the only one to have looted the nation. I am not even sure he is the richest amongst all the looters. His name continues to pop up in the public space for the wrong reasons because he was set up to fail. The price is the recovered loots. He died for our collective good.

Today Nigeria is witnessing a similar pattern of the Abacha regime. People are deliberately looting or relooting every available fund in government purse. The boldness at which they carry out these acts only suggests that Nigeria is sinking fast.

However, looking at the bigger picture one would observe that Buhari is also being set up like his former boss General Sani Abacha to fail. The earlier he wakes up from his slumber, the better for him. Nigerians do not forgive.

Whoever is behind the reckless school feeding programme, knows too well that all fingers will be pointed at the President. Buhari is the one to lose and in extention, his name, reputation just like that of Abacha will be tarnished.  Today Nigeria is being looted left, right and centre. General Sani Abacha never went this far. He was far too greedy to allow everyone to sniff at the national purse. That greed ended his regime.

Buhari will likely handover by 2023. Only God knows what shape Nigeria will be by that time. You cannot be looting the nation at every turn and expect the future to be bright. The school feeding programme is a fraud. Who spends over six hundred million naira daily on schoolchildren who are not even at school? How are you going to justify that type of humongous waste of taxpayers’ money? There is a lockdown impose by the government to control the spread of the deadly Coronavirus. How will the government locate the kids who are all with their families? Of course, pulling such strings can only happen in a country that the leaders do not care about her future.

Nigeria will never be the same again.

Late General Sani Abacha will be child’s play by the time Buhari leaves office.
